A pergola, in the traditional sense, is a free-standing structure covered with plants. In modern architecture, the word "pergola" is used more loosely and a pergola is often described as a structure consisting of four columns with beams on top. In most countries, a pergola is primarily used for sun protection. In the USA, the pergola is becoming the next “must-have” item for your outdoor area. It immediately enhances any garden, pool, terrace or roof terrace. At PERGOLUX we have developed a pergola with a slatted roof whose slats can be opened and closed. We've also included a waterproof rain drainage system to keep you dry. In addition, we have designed all the necessary accessories so that you can use your pergola in any weather and enjoy your outdoor space.
We have these different size models on offer: 3x3m, 3x4m, 3x5m, 3x6m, 4x4m, 4x5m, 4x6m.
Our dispatch time is 1-2 weeks for all products unless the item is out of stock or otherwise specified on the product page in the “Delivery and delivery dates” section.
The pergola is delivered via 3PL logistics companies. If there is an arrival where you will have the pergola delivered, They will drive the pergola all the way to your home. You will be contacted when your product is on the way to agree a delivery time. The pergola will be delivered in packages on a pallet, of approx. 40-50kg per package. It is important that you confirm a delivery time when you have the opportunity to be present to help unload the packages.

Yes! By using PERGOLUX screens or glass walls you can close the sides to reduce wind.
Our Series 2 PERGOLUX models are able to withstand snow loads between 130kg/m2 and 150kg/m2.
If a larger snow load is expected - for example in Alpine areas, we recommend leaving the slats open so that the snow can slip between the slats.
Our Series 2 PERGOLUX models are able to withstand extremely high wind loads.
The PERGOLUX pergola can withstand wind forces up to wind force 11 (up to 117 km/h wind). Our Series 2 models Sundream and Skydance are even tested for wind force 12 (117 kmh or more).
If wind is reported at higher strengths, we recommend that you open the slats of the slatted roof to give the wind less surface to attack.
Yes, when the slatted roof is completely closed, the RAINLUX 2™️ system does a great job. The slats in the slatted roof are arranged in an overlapping manner and are 100% waterproof thanks to cleverly placed rubber seals. When closed, the water runs over the built-in, slight slope of the slatted roof into the internal gutters and from the gutter over the pillars to the ground.

No, the PERGOLUX pergola is basically a maintenance-free product. To ensure the maximum service life of all moving parts, we recommend, depending on use, lightly lubricating them in the spring before putting them into operation.

Our PERGOLUX pergola models are made of rust-proof aluminum which is also powder-coated. This choice of material means that rusting (as with iron/steel structures) or weathering (as with wooden structures) is not possible.
No, it is not possible to adjust the column height ex works. However, you can easily adjust the height of the pergola yourself. Reducing the height is possible by shortening the columns and then drilling two new holes for the bracket that connects the column to the foundation. Additionally, drill a small hole or recess for water drainage. Many customers adapt the height of their PERGOLUX pergola this way. However, PERGOLUX cannot accept any liability for these types of changes.
Yes, the partner company we have selected, Elite Tech Installs LLC offers the installation in the US. The pergola was nevertheless deliberately constructed in such a way that it is easy to assemble by us possible for customers themselves. Every year hundreds of customers build their own pergola without any problems.

In order to achieve the maximum wind load, we recommend setting reinforced point foundations measuring 85x85x85cm (length x width x depth) and connecting them with a coupling beam made of iron or concrete. The pergola can then be attached to the foundation through the terrace covering using so-called anchor bolts (expansion bolts).
Alternatively, the PERGOLUX pergolas can also be screwed directly into terrace coverings such as stone slabs or wooden floorboards. However, the maximum wind load is then lower, depending on the dimensions of your terrace covering.
No, although most terraces and balconies already have a slope due to building regulations, it is not necessary.

PERGOLUX screens are height-adjustable sun and privacy screens that protect against light wind and rain. Since the Series 2, Pergolux screens have always been equipped with a zip function.
The ZIP function: holds the textile net securely in the rails along the pergola columns like a kind of zipper. If your terrace is frequently exposed to wind, the ZIP function is particularly helpful.
Yes, you can retrofit one or more PERGOLUX screens at any time. A screen can also be attached to the side where the crank is located.
PERGOLUX screens with ZIP function are suitable for slightly stronger winds. However, we recommend always retracting the screens completely in strong winds to avoid damage.
No, the screen is not completely opaque. When the brightness outside is higher, you can see outside through the screen a little better from inside - the opposite applies at dusk or in the dark with lighting from inside.
In any case, the screen protects against views from outside - as everything is never clearly visible.
Yes, decorations such as fairy lights or light flower pots for hanging plants can easily be attached to the roof beams. We recommend using self-drilling aluminum screws to avoid corrosion of the screw.
